Birthday Bash 2012

We celebrated all three of the children’s birthdays (and Pappy’s too!) with a big birthday weekend at our house. Avery and Samuel turned the big FOUR and Henry is a big TWO-year-old man now! We were missing a few, but most of the family was able to come.
Thursday evening started with some rain and the Amarillo folk enjoyed that treat on the porch. The kiddos had fun too.

The main event was a 16’ inflatable water slide in our backyard!

Remember when I mentioned I wasn’t one of those parents?

Well, this makes it official. We rented a huge slide and it was best money we’ve ever spent!

The Big Surprise!

After months of looking on Craigslist for a swing set, I finally gave up. Right about that time, my mother-in-law called and suggested the whole family split the cost! We are thrilled – it is the perfect size for our yard and the kiddos. Unfortunately for the assembly team up there, we were missing five pieces of the dumb thing. They all live 6 hours from us so the assembly couldn't wait! Thankfully, they know how to work a saw and after a Lowe’s run to buy lumber, we have the finished project. Thanks to everyone for our new toy!
