Pre-K {Year 2} Curriculum & The New School Area

I decided to have fun with curriculum this year again. We will start Sonlight for her Kindergarten year, but I wanted another no-pressure year of putting together my own “program.” So here it is.
“Calendar Time” was a new addition to my plan only last week. So many folks do it and it made sense, although it is tedious for mama! We go over the calendar, day of the week, do a weather observation {she usually says “Mama, I see blueness and hotness”}, repeat our address, phone number and 911 instructions and then pray for the person listed on our prayer calendar for the day.
A few of our picks:
Leah's Pony
Johnny Appleseed

Lucy's SummerApples to Oregon: Being the (Slightly) True Narrative of How a Brave Pioneer Father Brought Apples, Peaches, Pears, Plums, Grapes, and Cherries (and Children) Across the Plains
We’ve only been at it for 3 days, but it has gone so well. I am so glad I pushed myself to organize a small space in Henry’s room to work. It is making all the difference in the world from last year to have a dedicated space. I DO NOT like doing school time at the dining table. Here is a tour!
